Bell Janitorial Cleaning FAQ

Q. Why should I choose Bell rather than another Janitorial Cleaning Services Company?

A. There are at least 10 areas you should probe carefully before you choose any Janitorial Services Company. We believe that after careful consideration and due diligence, you will choose Bell.

Q. I want to do my own repairs on my cleaning equipment, but I do not know what part number I should order. What should I do?

A. Fax Bell (214-352-8104) the Model #, Make, and Serial Number of the machine you need repaired. We will fax you back a schematic with all of the part numbers listed. Then you can order the correct part. Bell maintains a large inventory of parts so you probably should try Bell first. But if you do not buy from Bell, we will still fax you the schematic.

Q. Help! I have an after-hours emergency. Who should I call?

A. If you have and emergency for service or supplies, call 214-795-1977. Leave your message with our operator and the proper person will call you back ASAP.

Q. Help! Why do my waxed floors look dull?

A. The reason is that you are probably using the wrong cleaner. To prevent dullness, you need to use a cleaner that has a neutral pH.

Q. Help! I need to find a way to get rid of smudges and fingerprints around my doorways. What do you recommend?

A. We recommend an Organic All Purpose Cleaner that is foams when you apply it. The foam clings to the surface to be cleaned and acts as an emulsifier. It cleans while it clings. This reduces the amount of elbow grease needed. This particular product also has an aroma like fresh oranges. It also will work well to remove ink and smudges from counter tops.

Q. Help! Do you know of a good way to remove odors from carpets?

A. We have had excellent success using a product called Bac Man. Bac Man eats organic material. If you put into your carpet it will eat the substances that are causing the odor. It also works well on slow drains and urine stains on floors. One of our customers had a problem with a dog who liked to do its business on the carpet. It removed the stain and the odor. An interesting side effect which we are not able to explain but only report is that once Bac Man was applied to the carpet, the dog no longer urinated on it.

Q. Help! After I use my metal polish, a green residue appears. Why is this and how can I solve the problem?

A. The problem is that you are not removing all of the cleaner from your metalwork. You can either be meticulous and apply more elbow grease and remove all of the cleaner or you can use an alternative cleaner. We use a cleaner that dries to a clean shine and leaves a clear protective coating on the metal. It requires little in the way of elbow grease and leaving a trace amount of cleaner on the metal does not cause the green residue to appear.
